EMO’s syllabus of courses offers a vast selection of doors to the continued pursuit of music as a hobby. For many children, early-years music education (music playschool), ‘muskari’ in Finnish, is their first contact with the world of music. Later on, this hobby can develop through basic-level instrumental instruction, taking part in the Chameleon Choirs or in the rhythmic training group. In addition, EMO offers courses in subjects that support and enhance instrumental studies, including courses in music history and theory, chamber music, and optional courses in such subjects as music technology.
On top of this, EMO provides basic musical instruction at schools in Matinlahti and Päivänkehrä, as well as early-years music playschool instruction on a peripatetic basis at twenty nursery schools in the south Espoo area.
