EMO has four wind orchestras, offering every student an option best suited to his or her own abilities. The Intro and Medium Orchestras rehearse regularly every week, while ENPO and the EBMO Jazz Orchestra rehearse periodically. Intro
Intro is aimed at students under ten who have just begun studying a wind instrument. The orchestra is directed by Mari Loiske. The orchestra rehearses in Basie on Mondays from 5pm to 6pm.
Medium
Medium is a wind orchestra aimed at primary-school-age students with a mastery of basic wind technique. The orchestra rehearses in Joukola on Mondays from 5pm to 6pm and is directed by Janne Laine.
ENPO
ENPO is a wind orchestra aimed at more advanced secondary-school-aged wind players and percussionists. The orchestra rehearses in intensive periods. Rehearsals generally take place on Mondays from 6pm to 8pm. ENPO is directed by Janne Laine.
EBMO Jazz Orchestra
The EBMO Jazz Orchestra is a big band aimed at young players from EMO and the pop and jazz school, Ebeli. EBMO rehearses and performs in scheduled rehearsal periods. EBMO is aimed at the most advanced high-school-aged wind players and percussionists
