APPLYING TO EBELI /INSTRUCTIONS
Ebeli accepts new students annually through student selections.
APPLYING TO EBELI:
The application period is 11.4.-7.5.2017, during which time you can sign in to the selections in Eepos online-service. In the service you can also choose your audition day and time.
SECONDARY INSTRUMENT APPLICANTS:
EMO and Ebeli students who want to apply for a secondary instrument will also have to sign in through the Eepos-link during 11.4.-7.5.2017.
All auditions are held in May, on Week 20 (15.5.-19.5.) in Ebeli, Ahertajantie 6 B. The names of the accepted applicants will be published on Ebeli´s website latest on 9.6. In addition to this, we send personal letters to all applicants.
In the student selections, applicants will be given a 10-minute audition time during which they demonstrate their instrumental/vocal skills to an admissions' jury.
At your audition you will be asked to:
- perform a pop/jazz piece of your own choice
- accompaniment will be provided upon request. Please remember to bring sheet music for the accompanist. You can also bring your own accompanist.
- tune your own instrument beforehand!
- perform tasks testing your general musical skills, such as repeating pitches and rhythms, sight-reading and making music in a band setting. In these tasks the admissions' jury will provide the accompaniment.
Please bring your own intstrument. In Ebeli there is a piano, a drumset, PA and amplifyers for guitar and bass.
Please contact the Ebeli Office if you need more information on student selections.
Because Ebeli does not provide any basic level instrumental instruction, the preferred age for applicants is 10 to 22 years. Basic level instruction in acoustic instruments is provided by EMO, for example (see instructions for applying to EMO).
